LED Lighting
LED lighting is increasingly installed in warehouses and commercial facilities as part of energy retrofit projects – above all else it makes commercial sense. Once thought to be too costly for commercial buildings, energy efficiency lighting retrofits can produce significant savings for commercial building owners with little upfront costs.
IFS can give you a free lighting survey which will identify the cost of the install and the potential savings, and our team of engineers can install your chosen lights. We can help identify other energy savings measures that will further decrease your running costs, such as fitting motion sensors.
We have recently carried out a number of funded schools lighting upgrades and have managed to negotiate a special extended warranty for use in island schools and commercial environments with 3000 hours running per annum. Our partners Philips only normally offer a 5 year warranty on their products but we can exclusively offer a 10 year warranty on our installs for Isle of Wight schools and commercial premises. This extended warranty extends well past the payback period, meaning a no risk investment. You can talk to us about interest free Government schemes.
Solar PV Domestic and Commercial
We design, install and maintain bespoke sustainable solutions for our clients. Installing Solar can significantly cut business overheads, improve business operations and increase your bottom line with up to 60% savings on daytime electricity costs.
IFS will make the process as simple as possible, from system design through to installation, and sending off the paperwork, causing you as little disruption as possible.
A-Rated Boilers
According to research, a boiler accounts for up to 60% of what you spend annually on energy bills. Upgrading to an efficient condensing boiler can make a massive impact to your fuel bill and carbon emissions. By extracting heat from the flue gases, modern A-rated condensing boilers are now over 90% efficient.
Installing an A-rated boiler (A being the most energy efficient) is one of the best investments you can make, as the long term benefits in savings on energy bills are considerable. This, together with the reduction in carbon emissions makes A-rated boilers essential in any property.
Heat Pumps
Air source heat pumps are used to provide heat and hot water for dwellings and businesses. They run on electricity, but are incredibly efficient (in some cases 300% or more), which means that for every one unit of electricity used, they produce 3 units of useful heat.
If you compare that to a brand new boiler which is 90% efficient (1 unit of gas produces 0.9 units of useful heat), you can quickly see why these systems are so popular.
Underfloor Heating
Underfloor heating uses pipes embedded under the floor which then transfer heat into the room, this provides enough warmth to heat a building all year round. The heat provided by underfloor heating is considered more comfortable because it is radiant heat, leaving rooms with a higher radiant temperature with even heat distribution throughout the room.
Underfloor heating is a more efficient use of fuel as it operates at a lower temperature. It also makes better use of space, with no need for radiators.
